On May 9 to commemorate Europe Day 2016, Dr. Monique Seefried, Commissioner at the World War I Centennial Commission, spoke on “Why is the centennial of WWI relevant for understanding Europe today?” Dennis Barbet, the French Consul General in Atlanta, and Dr Vicki Birchfield gave opening remarks. The event was co-sponsored with the French Consulate General in Atlanta and the Alliance Française and Goethe-Zentrum.
